Paul’s second book A Tabloid History of Birdwatching was published in November, 2018. Paul is now the political cartoonist of the Daily Mail, having previously held the post at the Daily Express from 1998 - 2015.  Paul was a strip and gag cartoonist for Punch magazine, The Spectator, Private Eye, The Sunday Times, The Independent, Daily Telegraph and The Guardian.  He was the Cartoon Arts Trust's  Cartoonist of the Year  in 2005.   He's a comic illustrator,  and does  location drawings for publication and broadcast (Channel 4, Sky Television).  His book  An Unreliable History of Tattoos was published by Nobrow in 2016.
